Arsenal FC have ramped up their pursuit of attacking reinforcements ahead of the summer window, with a strong focus now placed on Victor Osimhen.
Sporting director Andrea Berta was in attendance at the Ali Sami Yen Rams Park for the fiery Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, where the hosts secured a convincing 3-0 victory. The visit underlines Arsenal’s growing interest in Osimhen, who opened the scoring with an impressive display.
According to reports from AS, Berta’s primary objective was to closely assess the Nigerian forward, while also gathering key information about his availability. The Arsenal chief is understood to have held informal talks with Galatasaray officials regarding the potential financial framework required to secure a deal.
Despite already investing heavily in attack with the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, there is an increasing belief within the club that manager, Mikel Arteta wants more depth and variety in his frontline options heading into next season.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli in 2024, has been in outstanding form and remains under contract until 2029. However, Arsenal’s sustained interest suggests they are seriously exploring the possibility of bringing the striker to the Premier League.
Arsenal’s interest in Osimhen forms part of a broader summer strategy, with the club also keeping tabs on Endrick amid uncertainty surrounding his role at Real Madrid.
