A political support group sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has set a 90 per cent vote target for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ondo State in the 2027 general elections, vowing to mobilise support for all duly nominated candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state.
The group, BTO4PBAT27 Support Group, disclosed this in a statement signed by its Director-General, Ogbeni Adojutelegan Adesuyi Gideon, saying it was committed to securing an overwhelming victory for Tinubu and the APC in the state.
According to the group, the 2027 elections provide an opportunity to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda, strengthen progressive governance and build a formidable political structure capable of delivering electoral victories at the grassroots.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves our full support for a renewed mandate, and every duly nominated APC candidate in Ondo State will receive the committed support of our political structure,” the statement said.
The group said it would deploy its structures across communities, wards and polling units to mobilise voters, promote party unity, deepen grassroots engagement and translate political support into actual votes on election day.
It stressed that its 90 per cent target was not mere political rhetoric, noting that achieving the feat would require effective organisation, voter persuasion, reconciliation, sustained engagement and a strong presence at the polling-unit level.
BTO4PBAT27 said its mobilisation strategy would bring youths, women, traders, artisans, professionals, community leaders and other critical stakeholders into its campaign for Tinubu and APC candidates.
The group said its political philosophy was inspired by the leadership and grassroots approach of Tunji-Ojo, popularly known as BTO, stressing that political strength should be measured by service, organisation, unity and tangible results.
It also pledged to support the entire APC ticket, irrespective of individual preferences, saying there would be no “politics of selective loyalty” after the party had concluded the nomination of its candidates.
The statement said the mobilisation would cover the presidential, National Assembly and State Assembly elections, with the group promising to take its campaign to every part of the state.
“Our message across Ondo State will remain consistent: one party, one mission and one collective responsibility to deliver victory,” the group said.
BTO4PBAT27 expressed confidence that a united APC would secure electoral success in Ondo State, describing its 90 per cent target as a benchmark against which its mobilisation efforts would be measured.
“From the grassroots to the ballot box, BTO4PBAT27 is ready. For President Tinubu, we will mobilise. For every APC candidate, we will work. For Ondo State, we will organise. For 2027, our mandate is total victory,” the statement added.
