The newly sworn-in National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has pledged to work with all members of the party to rebuild, unite, and expand its structures in alignment with the aspirations of Nigerians and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking shortly after his swearing in at the APC National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Thursday, Yilwatda expressed deep appreciation to the party’s leadership for the confidence reposed in him.
He added that the mandate to lead the APC was one he did not take for granted, promising to commit himself wholeheartedly to the task ahead.
“I want to accept it with gratitude, and with my full heart and full mind to work together with you to build the party, knowing that all of us here are the mechanics of the party, and the party is our vehicle, and we will fix it and move it to our destination of choice.”
Yilwatda then pledged inclusive leadership and unwavering dedication to repositioning the APC as the vehicle for realising the hopes of Nigerians.
“I pledge, without hesitation, that I will work with everybody in the party, I will unite the party, I will build the party, I will expand the party with you as the focus, and the building block, and the support that I will require to drive the party as needed by all of us so that we can fulfil the dream of Nigerians who have imposed their hope in the Renew Hope Agenda.”
He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to collaborative leadership, saying, “Lastly, I will trust and look up to the leadership of the party, members of the party, and all of you sitting here for us to fulfil the dream that Nigerians have on APC.”
