galatasaray-smash-turkish-record-to-sign-victor-osimhen-from-napoli-for-75m

Galatasaray have officially signed Nigeria international Victor Osimhen from Napoli on a permanent deal, setting a new Turkish transfer record with the €75 million agreement.

The Istanbul-based Super Lig champions announced the four-year contract, which begins with the 2025–2026 season, confirming Osimhen as the most expensive player ever signed by a Turkish club. The previous record stood at €20 million, paid by Fenerbahce to secure Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla in July last year.

“According to the agreement, the 26-year-old will receive net guaranteed salary of €15.0 million for each season,” Galatasaray stated. The deal also includes a net loyalty bonus of €1 million per season and an additional €5 million in image rights payments for the use of Osimhen’s name, image, and likeness in club branding and promotional activities.

Napoli will receive 10% of any future transfer fee should Galatasaray sell the striker, both clubs confirmed.

Osimhen, who joined on loan last season, impressed during his spell in Turkey by becoming the league’s top scorer with 26 goals. He also set a new record as the highest scoring foreign player in a single Turkish season with 37 goals in all competitions.

The former Lille and Wolfsburg forward has scored 26 goals in 40 appearances for the Nigerian national team.
