Ogbeh, a renowned politician, technocrat, and farmer, had a long and distinguished career in public service. He is widely remembered for his time as National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from 2001 to 2005. He also served as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, where he championed policies aimed at boosting local food production.

In a statement released on Saturday, the family described Ogbeh as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was defined by his integrity and dedication to the nation.
“He departed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, service, and dedication to our nation and community. We are comforted by the many lives he touched and the example he set,” the family’s statement read.

While funeral arrangements will be announced in due course, the family has requested privacy during this time of mourning and expressed gratitude for the prayers and support they have received.
