dele-momodu-dumps-pdp,-says-party-has-been-hijacked-by-anti-democratic-forces

Publisher of Ovation Magazine Dele Momodu has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring the once-prominent opposition party “a carcass” now hijacked by anti-democratic interests.

In a strongly worded resignation letter, Momodu cited the party’s internal collapse as his reason for leaving.

“My reason is simple and straightforward. Our party has been unarguably hijacked by antidemocratic forces, from within and outside, in broad daylight,” Momodu stated.

The former presidential aspirant added that it was “honourable to abandon the carcass of the party” and instead support a new political movement.

“The majority of us earnestly sign up with the new coalition party known as the African Democratic Congress (ADC),” he wrote.

Momodu’s exit underscores growing tensions within the PDP, which has recently struggled with internal divisions, leadership disputes, and defections.

He concluded his letter with a note of appreciation to his ward leadership:

“I will forever treasure the kind support you gave me at all times.”
