anthony-joshua-to-return-on-july-25-against-kristian-prenga-in-riyadh

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will return to the ring on July 25 against Albania’s Kristian Prenga in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking his first fight since surviving a fatal car accident in December 2025.

Joshua suffered minor injuries in the crash, which occurred along the Lagos-Sagamu road near the Sinoma area in Ogun State. Two of his close associates, Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, died at the scene after the SUV carrying them collided with a stationary truck.

The British-Nigerian boxer last fought in a one-sided exhibition bout against Jake Paul, securing a sixth-round knockout just 11 days before the accident.

Promoters have billed the clash with Prenga as a tune-up contest ahead of a potential blockbuster showdown with Tyson Fury later this year.

Joshua and Fury have been linked to a long-awaited all-British heavyweight contest for years, with fresh reports indicating talks between both camps are ongoing.
