Air Peace Limited has reinforced its dominance in regional aviation, retaining its title as Best West Africa Sub-Regional Airline of the Year while securing a record seven awards at the 2026 Nigerian Aviation (NIGAV) Awards in Lagos.
The ceremony, held at the NIGAV Conference Centre in Ikeja, marked a defining moment for the airline, which emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night with honours spanning leadership, innovation, and service excellence.
Among the awards won were Airline Executive Chief of the Year (Dr. Allen Onyema), Nigerian Commercial Airline of the Year, Best West Africa Sub-Regional Airline of the Year, Best Air Travel Mobile App of the Year, Best In-flight Magazine (Alice Magazine), Best Airport Lounge of the Year, and Pilot of the Year (Male Category).
The airline’s retention of key awards—including the West Africa Sub-Regional Airline title—highlights its consistency in delivering operational excellence and expanding connectivity across the region.
Speaking on the achievement, the airline’s spokesperson, Mr. Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the recognition as both humbling and motivating, noting that it reflects Air Peace’s commitment to improving passenger experience and strengthening intra-African connectivity.
He added that the awards validate the airline’s strategic investments in fleet modernisation, digital innovation, and service delivery.
The Nigerian Aviation Awards, now in its 15th edition, is widely regarded as a leading platform for recognising excellence, innovation, and performance within Nigeria’s aviation industry.
Industry stakeholders, including representatives of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, were present at the event.
