Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United on a dry loan deal, with the English winger set to move to Birmingham before the transfer window closes.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on Monday, stating that only formal procedures remain before the move is finalised. “The agreement with Manchester United is done on the basis of a loan, with all parties having given the green light,” Romano reported.
Sancho, who has been seeking regular playing time, will now bolster Aston Villa’s attacking options as the club strengthens its squad in the final hours of the transfer window.
Roma had previously shown interest in signing the 24-year-old, but negotiations broke down due to disagreements over personal terms, prompting the Italian side to shift their focus to other targets.
