Governor Biodun Oyebanji affirmed President Tinubu’s unwavering support for Ekiti State, stating that the state’s progress is a reflection of the president’s bold reforms and leadership.
Oyebanji spoke on Monday at an event by the APC to endorse both the governor and the president.
Oyebanji emphasized that Ekiti State stands firmly in support of President Tinubu. “This is in addition to all the interventions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ekiti State. You have endorsed us, myself and the deputy governor, because as far as you are concerned, we have delivered on the promises we made to you.
“Everything we have achieved as a government in Ekiti State is because of the support of the President. If the President has not supported us, if the President has not embarked on very bold and audacious reforms, we would not be able to do those things.”
He highlighted the achievements made in Ekiti state during his tenure. “When you see us constructing roads, as of this morning, I was asking the Commissioner for Works, 22 road projects are going on in Ekiti State simultaneously. As I speak, 12 general hospitals are being renovated and equipped simultaneously in Ekiti State.
As I speak, 177 primary health care centres are undergoing renovation in Ekiti State. This is in addition to the 5,000 youths we have brought back to agric in Ekiti State. As we do this, we are paying pensions, we are paying salaries, we are giving car loans.”
He concluded, “He asked me to tell you that the Nigerian economy has stabilised. And he asked me to tell you that he is willing, he is more than able, he is capable to continue to lead from the front. And he asked me to tell you that everything it requires to ensure that life is made meaningful for you, is made more important for you, okay, that he is going to do.”
